Welcome to the OPIRG Brock Community Market!

It’s finally September 1st, which means it’s finally time for the OPIRG Brock Community Market! We have so much planned for this special month but let’s start off with the basics!“Where do I start?”

1. Buttons at the top of each market page

At the top of each Community Market page, you will find a series of buttons that help you navigate primarily non-vendor related information about the Community Market.

2. Key Community Market Resources

Before exploring the Community Market, we ask that all participants, vendors & customers read the Community Acknowledgements and @BlackOwned905 pages. Both of these pages offer essential information for engagements in social, economic, and environmental justice and solidarity.

3. Meet & Browse the Vendors!

In the dropdown menu at the top of the page under Community Market, you will find the Vendors sorted on the following pages: 

• All Vendors

• BIPOC Vendors

• 2SLGBTQQIA+ Vendors

• 'For a Cause' Vendors

• More Vendors!

In addition to everyone being sorted on the All Vendors Page, each category has their own distinct page. Within each category, the vendors are organized alphabetically.

Each vendor has included information about where and how to purchase their listings! Some vendors will direct you to their Etsy pages or websites, and some will accept e-transfer or PayPal! If there is a piece that you are interested in, check out their purchase instructions or send that vendor a DM o Instagram.

If you prefer the Linktree format of online viewing, the OPIRG Brock Community Market has it's own Linktree, with all of the vendors, linked with their Instagrams accounts, will be organized alphabetically on this platform.

4. Feature Vendor(s)

Every day of the month, we will be showcasing at least one of many amazing vendors! During Market Week (September 13-19), we will be hosting a Features gallery on our Instagram, hosting livestreams, doing creative space tours, & more!

 

5. "How can I help the community market?"

• Participate in our Giveaways - we will be hosting at least 3 throughout the month (maybe more), which includes following, sharing, & tagging OPIRG Brock, Cozy Bones, & some of favourite vendors!

• There are so many ways to support this market, besides purchasing neat items from our vendors!

• If you want to help boost the market, please consider posting about the event, sharing our posts in your stories, or sharing the items that you have purchased from the vendors!

• Buy raffle tickets - prizes will be released almost every day leading up to the opening of the raffle on September 13, 2020.
