OPIRG Brock 2020 Board Elections

If you are interested in running for the OPIRG Brock Board of Directors for 2021 please find our OPIRG Brock 2020 Elections Nomination Form (linked above) in this event and on opirgbrock.com.

 

The nomination form will be available starting Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at 12:01am. Nomination packages are due by 4:30PM on September 14th, 2020. 

 

Please ensure that you follow the steps outlined below when completing the nomination form:

  1. Read over the OPIRG Brock values and board roles, in order to get familiar with the organization and the expectations for board members. (If you have any specific questions you can attend one of our info sessions - see below - or email the CRO at opirgbrockcro@gmail.com). 

  2. Fill in your personal info, and remember to describe how your experience in the community fits within the scope of OPIRG Brock and their activism. 

  3. Sign and date the forms, retaining the info on OPIRG Brock for your own records. 

  4. Email your completed nomination package, along with a photo of yourself, or a non-copyrighted photo that represents your commitment to community, to the OPIRG Brock 2020 CRO at opirgbrockcro@gmail.com. 

Information Sessions - What does it mean to be an OPIRG Brock Board Member?

  • There will be two live information sessions, where interested parties can join the conversation and ask questions about being a board member, as well as the work OPRIG Brock does on campus and in the community. 

  • First information session - September 3rd 2020, from 2:00PM - 4:00PM, on OPIRG Brock's Facebook Live. 

  • Second information session will take place on September 10th 2020, from 1:00PM - 3:00PM, on OPIRG Brock's Instagram Live.

Elections on September 24th, 2020

The OPIRG Brock 2020 Elections will take place at the AGM on September 24th, 2020 at approximately 5:30PM. Voting will only be available to active members of OPIRG Brock, and to be eligible you must opt-in as a member, or register your membership (CUPE 4207 members), by September 13th 2020.
