Get Volunteer Experience


OPIRG Brock is currently looking for volunteers! We are seeking volunteers for the following teams:

  • Brock Community Garden Plots (Watering, weeding, harvesting)

  • The Free Store (managing donations, outreach, help at Drop-off & Free Store days

  • History of Activism in Niagara Research Project (Developing format, conducting research, interviews, etc.)

  • Outreach (Postering, tabling, doing class talks, etc.)

  • Special events (Set-up/ tear down, promotion, logistical matters at event, etc.)

  • Graphic Design (Help in the creation of the new OPIRG Brock website & promotional materials)

  • Policy Committee (Work in a team to develop and review the OPIRG Brock's Policies)

Start or Join an Action Group

Action groups are the core of OPIRG. They are groups of volunteers who organize autonomously to address a specific social justice or environmental issue. Our current Action Groups focus on topics like ableism, religious tolerance, food security, labour rights, environmentalism, skill sharing, and the arts. 


Additional action groups will be accepted at the discretion of the board.

Request Support for a Project or Event

OPIRG Brock is happy to collaborate with other organizations and individuals on projects and events that fit our mandate of social and environmental justice. To request support for your project or event please complete the form linked above. 


Join Our Board of Directors


There is currently four open positions on our board. The 2018 Summer Apointment application will be available soon. The election of the annual Board of Directors takes places at our AGM in April.​ Have questions about the Board of Directors - email

Become a Member


If you are looking to OPT-IN to OPIRG Brock and become a member, please fill out the first section of this form. Following the completion of this form, your membership will be sent to our Board of Directors, and you will be contacted to pay the membership fee. By holding an OPIRG Brock membership, you are able to run or apply for the OPIRG Brock Board of Directors and vote in the Annual General Meeting on April . 

To maintain a membership-in-good-standing, you must agree to and uphold the OPIRG Brock Safer Space Policy. (, as well as other relevant OPIRG Brock policies. 

Upon membership approval and paying this fee will result in a membership to OPIRG Brock until April 30, 2020. The membership fee is currently $7.50 - $10, sliding scale. If paying the membership fee creates a financial barrier for you from being a member of OPIRG Brock, please email

Attend an Event 

OPIRG Brock hosts and promotes a variety of events such as workshops, protests, social nights and film screenings.
