Brock's chapter of the Ontario Public Interest Research Group (more commonly known as OPIRG Brock) will be holding public hours for non-members to opt in!
For graduate students and community members, who are not automatically members of our organization, the opt in allows for the opportunity to join OPIRG Brock which can help support any social or environmental justice goals one has.
Our membership costs $7.50, which can be paid at the time of signup.
Our March drop-in hours will be taking place at Brock University
at the following dates, locations, & times:
Monday March 26, 2018 | MCJ404 | 1:00 pm -3:30 pm
Tuesday March 27, 2018 | WH8G| 1:00 pm-3:00 pm
Wednesday March 28, 2018 | WH 303 | 1:00 pm-3:00 pm
Thursday March 29, 2018 | TH 147 | 1:00 pm-3:00 pm
Friday March 30, 2018 | WH 303| 1:00 pm-3:00 pm
An additional Opt In/Out week will be held in April.
Undergraduate students can opt out of OPIRG Brock
and receive a refund for their fee at the times and location above.
Proof of enrollment required.
Brock Community: A Brock University full time undergraduate student who has not opted-out of the annual fee; and whose membership is in good standing with the OPIRG Brock Board of Directors.
Community member: Individuals who are not full time Brock undergraduate student, has paid the annual membership fee; and whose membership is in good standing with the OPIRG Brock Board of Directors.
Opt-in Process ( Additional option if unable to attend sign-up dates)
Email firstname.lastname@example.org expressing interest of membership, which will add “Community membership” to the upcoming board meeting agenda.
Attend the following next Public Board Meeting. If you are unavailable to attend this meeting, please send a representative in your place. If you are unable to find a representative, the Board of Directors will provide further information on an alternative method.
To this board meeting, bring $7.50 for the annual membership fee.
Using the OPRIG Brock Safe(r) Spaces Policy, and all other OPIRG Brock institutional documents, the Board of Directors will assess the proposal for your membership.
**Note: Expressing interest in becoming an OPIRG Brock member does not guarantee approval. To be considered a member-in-good-standing is relative to the OPIRG Brock Safe(r) Spaces Policy and subject to the discretion of the Board of Directors.
