Niagara Social Justice Forum 2018

November 21, 2017

CONCEPT:

Hosted by the Social Justice and Equity Studies Graduate Program at Brock University, the Niagara Social Justice Forum is a day-long program of activities including concurrent workshops, performances, exhibits and information tables. This event typically attracts over 150 people from both campus and the community and explores a wide range of issues. Activities are proposed and organized through an open call to campus and community-based individuals and groups committed to social justice.

GOALS:

The main goal of this event is to build relationships between student groups, researchers, activists and community organizations working on issues of social justice, difference and diversity. The purpose of this “Call” is to invite those with an activist orientation (broadly defined) to submit a proposal to host a workshop, performance, exhibit or information table. We encourage all types of workshops including those that involve art, music, drama or other experiential, embodied modes of interaction.
